How we count

  • We count only tips published before the match and never changed after, the ones you saw on the site: at noon UK time on match day, or 3 hours before the order-of-play time for matches before 3 pm. Tips rebuilt after the fact are not here.
  • Retirements and walkovers are left out: bookmakers settle them differently.
  • Every tip comes with a chance. A 60% tip should come in about 6 times in 10, and that is what we check.
  • Where we know the bookmakers' line, we compare ourselves with the market: the chance the odds gave (without the margin) and how many of our tips came in. We do not publish a return on stakes (ROI): this page is about the hit rate against the chance we gave.
  • Percentages start at 30 settled tips. With fewer, the result is mostly luck.
